Dante' Austin was a Philadelphia Sheriff's Deputy, Military Veteran, fierce LGBTQIA+ activist, and a founding member of Greater Philadelphia GOAL.

Eligibility
This scholarship is open to anyone enrolled in a program related to emergency services, public safety, mental health, psychology or social work, and who is interested in advancing the emergency services/public safety profession or mental health services available for the LGBTQIA+ community in the Philadelphia area.
Award
One scholarship will be awarded for the 2024 cycle.
The selected recipient will receive a $1,000 award payable to the school.
Funds for this scholarship are administered by the Delaware Valley Legacy Fund.

Application will be available until August 31, 2024. Applicants will be required to submit a letter of enrollment from the school and a statement on their career goals and how they will impact the LGBTQIA+ community.
